Alpine Club of Canada
The Calgary Section is a large section of over 700 members
involved in all facets of summer and winter mountaineering
in the Canadian Rockies. The Section meets on the
third Tuesday of each month (except August) at 7:30pm at
the Bow Waters Canoe Club in Calgary at 1975 36th Street
SE. The meetings feature a short business meeting
followed by a guest presenter and lots of opportunity to
socialize with other members and meet new climbing or
skiing partners over a beer or a glass of wine.

Rescue Foundation
The Animal Rescue Foundation is a registered, non-profit
charity run completely by volunteers. ARF rescues dogs and
cats from Indian Reserves and rural areas and these
rescued animals are placed in temporary foster homes where
they are vaccinated, de-wormed and spayed/neutered if six
months of age or older.

The Ann and Sandy Cross Conservation Area is a 4800 acre
day use natural area located just south west of the city

Calgary Tower
Officially opened on June 30th, 1968, the "Tower " has
